This Mount functions as good as it looks. I think that the unit could use more space to run the cables however. I also wish the mount came with an ambilical cable loom so the installation was even cleaner (My TV is not right above the mount)

Overall excellent value!
Up dateing is easy

Our old TV went out on us. My wife and I decided to start up grading our home theater system, we started with a 42" plasma screen TV, a full motion wall mount and the OmniMount TRIA shelves. Now the entertainment center is gone and everything is on the wall.
The directions are a little confusing and some instructions are missing. Once you figure the installation out it's a breeze. One tip is secure all of your wires and have them placed were you want them before attempting to snap on the covers. I used the small zip ties to cut down on the space behind the covers. I had take the covers off several times before I got the wires were I wanted them. All in all it's a great product and it cleared up a lot of floor space for our toddler to play. She also can't find the wires to pull the components off the shelves.
MOUNT EVERYTHING!!! And the cable management system is fine

Save money on furniture, increase your floor space and keep your expensive electronic devices out of reach of sticky, probing little hands.

I don't know what these other reviewers are complaining about. This is a wonderful, well-designed, very attractive product. Installation takes time, but is certainly forgivable in light of the product's functionality. The cable management system is fine. I think one of the other reviewers didn't realize that the plastic spacers (to which the covers are mounted) serve a secondary purpose as the cable management system itself. The installed spacers create three vertical channels through which you can run all your cables. I easily fit three Fanatic Digital Category 2 HDMI cables in a single channel (good, cheap HDMI cables, but a little fat).

The only thing I didn't understand until after I finished installation was how the cables get from the channels to the devices on the shelves. They actually come around from behind the cover. Plan ahead to make sure you have just the right amount of slack and you'll be fine. And even if you don't plan ahead, removing / replacing the covers is a breeze. Combine with the Datacomm Electronics 45-0002-BK Gang Recessed Cable Plate (Black) and you're in business
Just what I was looking for......,

I think these are great shelves, especially for the application I wanted them for. I was going to build some shelves, but these fit the bill just fine, and it probably turned out cheaper than what I was going to build. I wanted something for our bedroom that didn't look like it had been recycled from my family room.
They were easy to install, and I like the way the cover stands out far enough to go past the baseboard to allow you to hide the cable and speaker wires behind it. I noticed these at Circuit City for about $200.00 with Tax. I don't think I would have paid that much for it, but for $110.00 @ HIDEF Lifestyle no tax & free shipping, I bought 2 of them.
The size of the shelves were not a problem as long as you don't have anything bigger than a Cable Box. There was plenty of room for my wiring, but this is in my bedroom and I just went with the speaker wire that came with the Home Theater in a box, and I used HDMI and Optical cables. If you want to impress your friends by blowing a bunch of bucks on "Monster Cable" you are probably not going to fit 5 or 6 12 ga. speaker wires and some component cables in the track.
Great Value, Clean Lines

This product ended a long search for a storage piece for my equipment. The straight lines and simple features proved to be the perfect companion for our finished home entertainment system.
Very easy to install, and a solid piece of furniture. The wire management features perfectly concealed the cables which my wife disliked so much. Comparable prices were 4x the price of this one, and I can not find a reason for this. I see no reduction in quality of materials and/or workmanship. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a similar item.
Very good with excellent price

Easy assembly works very well. I installed a home entertainment system on it with no problems and no worry about it falling off the shelf. Hard ware more then adequate to install.

Very attractive and sturdy shelving option for components. Easy installation and includes all hardware needed to install in drywall or concrete. When writing reviews, I try to find a few +'s and a few -'s. I really cannot find any -'s with this product. I guess if I tried real hard to find something negative, the cable management could be improved having notches at shelf locations but that would impact the flexability of shelving locations... A Dremel or drillbit hole addresses that. Notch out where you would like to cables to come out.
